Who We Are
Originally from the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville), Bernard is now a resident of the United States. His journey began with the Opelousas's Housing Authority Community Band music program, while visiting the state of Louisiana, from July 2009 to October 2009, on his way to Massachusetts. During Bernard's visit where he volunteered as a math tutor to the children at the Boys and Girls club music band, he came to realize how important a music program is for any community, but especially for children.
His inspiration for starting this Classical and Celtic music journey with Children came from the desire to encourage them in music education. Bernard is asking for your continued support in bringing music education to children in School and at home.
Bernard observed that Children enthusiastically and joyfully came to participate in the music program. This, in turn, kept them away from negative t.v. shows, excessive home video games, and intense listening to negative hip-hop lyrical songs, which could cause subconscious damage. It can also limit exposure to street drugs and gang activities, which are gaining control of our youth, potentially diverting their mind and focus from their true goal of education.
Socrates, the Greek philosopher once said “Every good gardener always takes care of the young or growing plants”. The positive growth of our children will impact tomorrow’s leaders as well as the next generation of Classical and Celtic musicians and composers. We are their gardeners.
As a humanitarian, he also administers a personal blog. You are welcome to visit it by clicking on the following link:

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of Classical Music for Children Foundation is to provide education for parents and students about the effects that music has in health and well being. This would include not only the sounds of music but also the words of music, and how it impacts creativity and imaginative faculties.
Our goal is to provide training and classes for children in how to read, write, and compose classical music. We target underprivileged children, as well as all children in these offerings. In the process, we hope to raise public awareness about the significance of classical music education as a primary instrument to raise the quality of education in the USA.
Our plan is to expand our activities around the world.
Note: The Foundation is supported by the income from the sales of the book entitled, "The Power of Musical Sound: how music affects our state of mind, health, and society."
We are in the process of establishing a 501 C3 status. All donations are welcomed and can be sent to: Classical Music for Children Foundation, Po Box: 1240, Seattle, WA 98111-1240 USA.
