What Is The Weather Today? Weather Song For Kids

August 11, 2021 By Sara Mullett 2 Comments

What is The Weather Today is a very easy weather song for kids from 2 -6 years.

In England asking ‘What’s The Weather Today?’ is a bit of a national pastime! We’re constantly talking about our changeable weather! But with children it’s a great source of engagement and a great learning tool. It’s a fun way to introduce the elements and the seasons and all the new vocabulary that comes with it.

This weather song for kids is a quick and easy song to sing either in the morning after a hello song, or at circle time. It’s a simple piggy-back tune, borrowing the melody from Hickory Dickory Dock, and you can easily adapt the words  to suit the weather, which if today is anything to go by, would be every 30 minutes!

What is the weather today?

Oh what is the weather today?

It’s warm and dry, it’s warm and dry,

That is the weather today!

Oh what is the weather today?

It’s pouring with rain, it’s pouring with rain,

That is the weather today!
